I hear this is the cool thing to do

Not to be out done by my fellow TA (withholding name so he can show his face around campus) I decided to jump feet first into the world of blogging.

To begin i have a message for all the student in the PED 255 classes:

Take a deep breath every time you enter the classroom, let the surroundings, the emotions, the feelings, rush into your body, this is the beginning of your adventures towards your future careers. Revel in the activities, become a sponge to everything that happens in the class, try to absorb everything and take it all in. Focus on the now, for it is everything that you experience in this class, that will undoubtedly one day occur once you leave our beloved campus. Don't get nervous, you can all do this, and from what i have seen so far, I am fully confident that you will all do amazingly well both now and in the future. AGAIN, don't panic, you are all in luck, you have a great leader preparing you to continue on down your academic path, consider Dr. Yang your personal Gandolph, a wise and Obi Wan like guide. He is a great resource and I highly recommend using him, as he is always willing to help his students. Of course I can't go without saying please feel free to use myself or the aforementioned other TA to guide you also, we have been in your shoes, and although we don't know everything we of course are more than willing to help you with what we do know, and point you in the right direction if we don't. See us as your Aragorn (me) and Sam (Freddy) along the way. I would hate for any of you to think that just because I may be the future king of all middle earth, that i know more than Freddy who only happens to be a hobbit, both of them were important in Frodo's (your) journey, one just happens to be cooler (sorry Buddy couldn't resist).

To conclude i will leave you with a few things:

"You don't have to be a "person of influence" to be influential. In fact, the most influential people in my life are probably not even aware of the things they've taught me."

"A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do."

"Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough."

and something for the more visually motivated: "live every moment not as if it was your last, but as if it was your first chance of doing something great"

I included this because it is an important idea for educators, I look forward to seeing replies to this post as why you think i included it!!!
